John the Baptist's Diet

Luke 3:11 NASB "And the crowds were questioning him [John the Baptist], saying, 'Then what shall we do?' And he would answer and say to them, 'The man who has two tunics is to share with him who has none; and he who has food is to do likewise.'"

If a man has 2 shirts and he meets someone who has none, he should give him one of his shirts. That is basically giving away 50%. This is a great way to clean out your closet.

If that ratio is applied to the last part of the verse, it may answer both the problem of overeating for some and hunger for others. The Dieting Industry is at least 35 billion USD a year. Imagine if people who are typically overfed just ate half of what they normally eat and gave half their food budget to feed the hungry, 2 problems would be solved. That's what I call John the Baptist's Diet.
